Babz Chula (“Abigail Edwards” – The Protester) Award-winning actor Babz Chula is one of Canada's most accomplished, versatile and daring actors. Known as "Queen of the Indies", she is a fierce supporter of the independent film scene in Canada. Last Wedding marked her third collaboration with Bruce Sweeney. Chula was nominated for a Leo Award for Best Performance for Sweeney's Dirty, and also starred in his first film, Live Bait. Babz won the Gemini Award for Best Actress in a Continuing Role for her portrayal of Esme Price in the CBC series, These Arms of Mine. She is winner of several Jessie Theatre Awards, a Leo Award for Best performance by an Actress, a Genie award for In Search of the Last Good Man, Best Actress at the Atlantic Film Festival in '96 and is the recipient of the “Woman Of The Year In Film And Video” award from Women in Film. In 2006 Babz was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Vancouver Film Critics Circle and an Outstanding Achievement Award from the Leo Awards. Recently she took home another Best Actress award from the New York Film Festival for her portrayal of Mother in Claudia Morgado's evocative film Bitten. She has appeared in films such as My American Cousin and Double Jeopardy as well as numerous made for TV movies and TV shows including The Commish, Cold Squad, and as a series regular on Madison and CBC's These Arms Of Mine. In 1999, Chula was invited to teach acting for film at the prestigious International School Of Film And Television near Havana, Cuba and has recently started directing for theatre and film. She is a story editor and an accomplished drama coach for actors in Canada, New York and Los Angeles. She played and sang Mrs. Peachum in the Vancouver Opera's, Three Penny Opera. directed by Morris Panych, and can be seen in Seven Times Lucky, with Kevin Pollack, a hit at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival, and winner of Best Ensemble Cast at the Method Film Festival in Los Angeles in 2004. Jillian Fargey (“Jenni Holm” – The Waitress)
 Jillian received a Leo Award for Best Supporting performance by an Actress for her role in The Green Chain.
This versatile actress has appeared on Canadian stages in over 40 different productions. Jillian is an eight time Jessie Nominee and a two-time Jessie Award winner (including Best Actress for her performance in George F. Walker’s Problem Child). Jillian has received three Leo Nominations for Best Actress for her work in Protection, the short drama Hotel and Nostalgia Boy. She was also nominated for a Genie Award for her work in Protection and received the Best Actress Award for her performance in Protection at the Ourense International Film Festival. Her other film credits include leading roles in Larry Kent’s Hamster Cage, Ross Weber’s Mount Pleasant, Bruce Sweeney’s Last Wedding, Ryan Bonder’s Daydrift and Close to Home. Brendan Fletcher (“Dylan Hendrix” – The Tree Sitter)
 One of Canada’s hottest rising stars; Brendan Fletcher burst into the scene in 1996 at the young age of 13 and hasn’t looked back since. His acting debut was the lead in the CBC movie-of-the-week Little Criminals, a performance that earned him a Leo Award as well as a Gemini Award Nomination for best lead actor in a dramatic role. Since 1996, Brendan has been the lead in several award-winning films, including Jimmy Zip, Rollercoaster, and The Five Senses. In 2002 Brendan was awarded a Genie for “Best Actor in a Leading Role” for his work in the feature film The Law of Enclosures and this past year, Brendan was nominated for a Gemini Award for the Movie-of-the-week, 100 Days in the Jungle. Recent feature films include Terry Gilliam’s Tideland, 88 Minutes, with Al Pacino, and The Onion Movie, based on material from the satirical website. Brendan was most recently seen on television as a guest star on TNT’s Saved, Showtime’s Masters of Horror and The CW’s Supernatural and will be featured in a recurring role on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Brendan was born and raised in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island in British Columbia. He currently makes his home in the heart of Hollywood North; Vancouver, Canada. Tricia Helfer (“Leila Cole” – The Star)
Tricia was born in Donalda, Alberta, Canada ...where she was raised on the family grain farm. She fell into modeling in high school when an agent discovered her in the line up of the local movie theatre and sent her to New York. There she won the “Ford Supermodel of the World Contest” and began her career working for magazines such as Elle, Vogue and Cosmopolitan. Her campaigns include the likes of Ralph Lauren, Chanel, Giorgio Armani and she has graced the catwalks of designers such as Versace, Dolce Gabbana, and Christian Dior to name a few. While modeling, Helfer also worked as a correspondent reporter for Canada’s “Ooh La La” Fashion Television where she realized a passion for acting during an on-camera class. This prompted her move to Los Angeles in 2002 where she quickly landed the role of ‘Sarah,’ in the two-hour premiere of the Showtime series, Jeremiah. Helfer memorably guest starred as a model who tries to cut off her own face on the hit series C.S.I.: Crime Scene Investigation and the lead role of ‘Eva’ in the independent feature White Rush. Helfer started 2003 off by starring in the Scifi miniseries Battlestar Galactica where she played the humanoid Cylon ‘Number Six’ and also filmed the lead role of ‘Farrah Fawcett’ in the Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of Charlie’s Angels on NBC. In 2004, Helfer reprised her role of ‘Number Six’ in the first season of Battlestar Galactica. 2005 was busy for Helfer as she filmed the lead role of ‘Stephanie Jacobs’ in the independent feature Mem(o)re opposite Dennis Hopper, guest starred on The Collector as ‘Janis’, filmed The Green Chain as ‘Leila Cole’, filmed the independent feature Spiral as ‘Sasha’ with David Joel Moore and reprised ‘Number Six’ for the second season of the critically acclaimed series Battlestar Galactica. Starting off 2006, Helfer filmed the lead role of ‘Ally’ in the independent feature The Genius Club and then headed into new territory, hosting and producing Canada’s Next Top Model before filming the third season of the award winning show Battlestar Galactica, where she again brought back the chilling ‘Number Six.’ Tricia finished off the year by playing ‘General Kilian Qatar’ in the video game, Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. Tricia began 2007 by guest staring as ‘Molly McNamara’ on Supernatural and playing ‘Naomi’ in a new Fox pilot, Them. Tricia is currently filming an independent feature with LeeLee Sobieski, Walk All Over Me where she plays the role of ‘Celene’ before returning to her infamous role as the seductive ‘Number Six’ for the fourth season of Battlestar Galactica. Scott hails from Vancouver, Canada by way of Brisbane, Australia. He started acting at the age of three and hasn't (his mom would say) stopped since. Scott has starred in the feature films Sleeping with Strangers and Sleeping Dogs. He has guest starred on numerous television series and features, including Highlander, The Outer Limits, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Beyond Belief, Beggars and Choosers, Stargate SG-1 and Disney's Ladies and the Champ, to name a few. Scott is also one of Canada's best and best-known voice-over actors. Spanning more than a decade and including over seventy series, Scott's voice career began with The New Adventures of He-Man way back in 1989. He is perhaps best known currently as Duo Maxwell in Gundam Wing, Piccolo (the first) and many others in Dragon Ball Z, Dinobot, Rattrap, Waspinator, and Silverbolt in Beast Wars, and Wolverine in X-Men: Evolution. Among his other voice credits are ReBoot, Monster Rancher, Mummies Alive, Ranma 1/2, Project A-Ko, Kong, The Vision of Escaflowne, Megaman, Bucky O'Hare and the Toad Wars, War Planets, Weird-Oh's, Molly O, Monkey Magic, Conan the Adventurer, The Wacky World of Tex Avery, Extreme Dinosaurs, DragonTales, Warriors of Virtue, D'Myna Leagues, Aagh It's the Mister Hell Show, Double Dragon, Street Fighter, GI Joe, and the animated features Rudolph and the Island of Misfit Toys, and Casper's Haunted Christmas. Scott loves cartoons most of all because, "Hey, it's indoor work with no heavy lifting." Tahmoh Penikett (“Brett Hall” – The Firefighter)
Tahmoh Penikett is headed for a breakthrough year with starring roles in two anticipated series. He will star as FBI Agent Paul Smith opposite Eliza Dushku in Joss Whedon’s new Fox drama “Dollhouse” (January 2009). The show centers around a group of highly illegal and underground people who have had their personalities wiped clean so they can be imprinted with any number of new personas. Confined to a secret facility known as the Dollhouse, members of this elite group carry out special missions before their thoughts, feelings and experiences are continually erased. Penikett’s character begins to piece together clues that lead him closer to the Dollhouse and all the mysteries that surround it. Tahmoh can also be seen in a guest starring capacity in a variety of other series including Smallville (FOX), The L Word (Showtime), Dark Angel (FOX), and in the MOW Hush with Tori Spelling. He has appeared in numerous independent films. Tahmoh plays a lead in the horror film, Trapped Ashes, by renowned director Monte Hellman, which debuted at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival. Tahmoh was born in the city of Whitehorse in the Yukon, Canada and his background, which includes strong ties to the Upper Tanana tribe and their traditions, led him to his love of storytelling. Tahmoh has a very strong connection and devotion to his family with whom he spends time with whenever possible. In his spare time he enjoys a variety of athletic pursuits including being a competitive kick boxer. August Schellenberg (“John Clements” – The Executive)
Nominated for an Emmy Award © for Best Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or TV-movie for his role as Sitting Bull in HBO’s Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee, August Schellenberg has created some indelible performances throughout his 40-year-long career. He is perhaps best known for his performance as the wary but humanistic chieftain Chomina in Bruce Beresford’s Black Robe, for which he won a Genie Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role and was nominated for an Australian Film Institute Award in the same category. Among his numerous other film and television roles Schellenberg also portrayed Randolph Johnson in the three highly popular Free Willy movies. He has recently appeared in Terrence Malick’s epic, The New World and Disney’s Eight Below. Schellenberg has also won a Gemini Award for Best Performance by a Lead Actor in The Prodigal and has been nominated for Genie and Gemini awards on five occasions.
